Fire Control Instruments Offers NetSOLO® Broadband, the Future of Cost-Effective Distributed Audio - System Yields Significant Savings in Overall Installation Costs
WESTWOOD, Mass. - Fire Control Instruments (FCI), a part of Honeywell’s (NYSE: HON) Fire Group, is a performance and technology leader in the life safety systems industry for commercial, industrial and educational applications worldwide. FCI’s NetSOLO® Broadband, the future of distributed audio, has been developed to meet the widest variety of applications using minimum equipment. It is the first product to deliver full-network control and communications, digital messaging, live voice instructions and fire fighter telephone communications through a distributed network fire alarm system⎯all on a single pair of wires. By dramatically reducing the number of wires, cable or fiber required, installation requires less labor and materials, therefore providing contractors with a significant competitive advantage.
The scalable nature of the system allows contractors to purchase the fire alarm system in stages rather than all at once, allowing for cost-control throughout potentially long projects. Furthermore, because NetSOLO utilizes up to five times less riser wire and incorporates existing 7100 panels, the system doesn’t need to be redesigned and can be expanded as the user’s application grows. The system uses powerful Boolean logic programming and a state-of-art Digital Signal Processor (DSP) which, when coupled with the 625K baud, completes all functions (including live voice paging, multi-channel audio, firefighters phone, and network control) with only one pair of wire.
NetSOLO delivers on a platform of survivability, reliability and flexibility. The product’s combination of speed, adaptability and ease-of-installation results in lower implementation costs while providing the most rugged and easy-to-use system in the industry today.
